Q. Can I put storage bags into warmer or warm water to warm breastmilk?
- Storage bags with thermal sensors indicator (e.g. My Little One Fairy Tales, 4-season Safari, Premium Storage Bags) are safe to put into warmer or warm water. Do not put it in boiling water because it will affect your breastmilk.
Q. How long can an unopened milk storage bag (in packaging) be kept?
- The unopened milk storage bag can be kept for 3-5 years, depending on the condition of the environment.
Q. How long can breastmilk be kept in a cooler carrier?
- You can safely store your breastmilk for up to 10-12 hours if the condition of the cooler bag permits.
Q. How do I defrost my breastmilk?
- The sealed bag shall be rinsed with running tap water when thawing frozen breastmilk. If time permits, you may place thaw the frozen breastmilk in the refrigerator. Do not heat breastmilk directly on a stove or microwave, as this will destroy the nutrients in breastmilk. After thawing, pour it into a feeding bottle and feed your baby. Defrosted breastmilk must be consumed within 24 hours and cannot be frozen again.
Q. Will the storage bag leak easily?
- No, our storage bag is double-walled to prevent leakage. As such, under normal circumstances, the storage bag shall not leak. Should you encounter any leakage incident during use, kindly contact us immediately.
Q. Is the storage bag BPA-Free?
- Yes, the storage bag is BPA-free and made of FDA-approved food-grade material.
Q. How do I check and read the thermal sensor indicator?
- Please refer to the diagram below. Find the thermal sensor indicator on Milk Planet storage bags (e.g. My Little One Fairy Tales, 4-season Safari, Premium Storage Bags).
- The color of the thermal sensor will be changed to indicate the temperature of the breastmilk.
Q. How to prevent accidental leaks?
- Ensure that the zipper on the bag is closed properly.
- If milk is trapped in the zipper, attempt to clean out the milk. Milk in the zipper may expand during freezing, causing a potential leak.
- Handle bags with care once frozen. Do not drop bags.
- Store bags in the upright standing position to prevent damage. Do not store bags lying flat or stacked on top of each other.
Q. Is there any warranty for the storage bag?
- No, that is no warranty for the storage bag. However, do not purchase any storage bags that are not sealed in polymer seal, and immediately contact us if you encounter any issue during use.
Q. How to store the breastmilk?
- Wash your hand thoroughly before handling.
- Pull out a breastmilk storage bag from the package.
- Mark the storage bag with the date before filling breastmilk.
- Hold the bag between fingers below the perforations and gently pull it apart.
- Carefully pour your expressed breastmilk into the bag, then reseal for storage.
- Wipe the exterior of the bag dry before storing it in the refrigerator or freezer.
- If you do not plan to use the milk within a few days, freeze it right away in the coldest section of your freezer.
- Ensure that the zipper on the bag is closed properly.
